Pierre Lachenay is a well established editor and writer of a literary magazine. He needs to catch a flight to Lisbon and is running late. His friend drives him to the airport and Sabine, his daughter, comes along during the drive. Luckily, they arrive on time. While on the plane he makes eye with Nicole, an attractive air hostess. When the plane lands, photographers ask him to pose for a picture with the air hostess. Pierre then checks into the Hotel Tivoli and makes his way to a conference. While walking in the hotel lobby, he sees Nicole again.
