Thunderbolt is a 1947 war documentary about the P-47 bomber, one of the most notorious and deadly fighter planes of the Second World War. The film presents real war footage of the P-47 in action in the Pacific theater in the war against Japan. The film also includes interviews and insight from real fighter pilots who flew the P-47, who give first-hand s of the handling, speed and mobility of one of the most iconic fighter planes in the history of the United States.
